7 STOREY HOTEL PLANNED FOR OLD ROYAL MAIL HQ

A seven-storey hotel with 117 beds could be built on the doorstep of Colchester's Castle Park. Premier Inn wants to demolish former Royal Mail base, Colnebank House.
If a planning application to Colchester Council is approved, the hotel would be yards from the entrance to Castle Park, and overlook the Grade II Listed Middle Mill Cottage.
The application reveals discussions have already taken place with Colchester Borough Council offices, which has resulted in the chain reducing the scale of the building.
Colchester Council are expected to make a decision by Easter and if granted planning permission, the hotel could be ready to open by mid-to-late 2011.
UNIT 15, BRUNEL BUSINESS CENTRE, CLACTON - LET
Whybrow Chartered Surveyors are pleased to announce the successful letting of Unit 15 Brunel Business Centre, Clacton the town’s first major modern development in recent time and undertaken by Essex based Mantle Estates Ltd. The unit provided some 2,000 sq.ft of quality industrial accommodation and has been let to MRL Productions, an events production company specialising in sound, lighting and video within the Corporate, Theatre, Fashion Show and Concert sectors. They have taken a three year full repairing and insuring lease.
