There are many other opportunities that this move looking to be in 2014 will create, not only for the university but also for Colchester area like six hi-tech job roles with these increasing as the company grows. Founder James BV Bowater said: “With a world class technology that has global applications in everything from security to renewable energies, establishing a strong relationship with the University of Essex, is important to us, as is building up a manufacturing facility in the Colchester area.”

The relationship between Bowater Holographics Limited and the University of Essex has been shown through the long term set up with many internships and scholarships being put in to place, this highlights the strong sustainability between both parties as well as the Economic growth in Colchester.

Cllr Kevin Bentley, Essex County Council Cabinet Member for Economic Growth and Infrastructure, welcomed the announcement: “This is splendid news that the first business has been signed up for Parkside. I am confident this is the first of many. Essex County Council and the University have worked together to push Parkside because it will make a substantial contribution to the economic growth of north east Essex.”

Richard Swan Bsc (Hons) of Whybrow Chartered Surveyors, who is currently marketing this scheme comments on the fantastic news and the future of Parkside, “We are delighted to be involved with the marketing of these fantastic newly built offices and even more so to attract a business of Bowater’s quality. This letting represents a positive start to the scheme and we are very excited to offer the remaining accommodation from 1,195 sq. ft. to 3,120 sq. ft. on flexible lease terms”.
