As it stands, without the required improvements to the A120, the region will lose out on £1.3bn in growth and nearly 13,000 new jobs. Furthermore, with improvements, journey times could be cut by up to 56% and the road would become much safer (it currently contains some of the top 10% most dangerous road sections in the country). But as things stand, there are no plans for any major investment in the route. The Highways Agency, which is responsible for its management, is currently working on a Route Strategy for all the Trunk Roads in the Country. We need to ensure the needs of the A120 are fully reflected in this Strategy and then backed by Government investment when funding is allocated.

This website has been set up to get something done about the A120. It sets out the reasons we think the route deserves proper attention, charts progress with our campaign and most importantly offers you the opportunity to join in. We very much hope it will win your support.

DP World Networking Event for Essex Businesses

DP World London Gateway hosted an event in the offices of its 1,000 acre logistics facility to celebrate and launch the completion of a new office development.

Over 50 guests from a wide range of businesses and organisations across Essex attended and were able to view the three berths of the state-of-the-art, semi-automated deep sea container terminal, while also viewing the significant progress in the development of the Logistics Park.

A new off-dock 5 Acre empty container storage yard is to be opened at DP World London Gateway Port.
