Following their earlier adjoining sale of a substantial refurbished property let to the Royal British Legion, a prime High Street investment let to the fast growing chain, Bills Restaurants Ltd has completed in central Colchester.


Whybrow Chartered Surveyors agreed the investment sale to a private UK based Property Company, sealing the deal on December 24th 2015. Bills Restaurant hold the property which extends to 4,700sq.ft over ground basement and upper floors and lies opposite Marks and Spencer on a 20 year lease at a headline rent of £85,000 per annum.


Being the second investment sale that Whybrow have recently completed for our clients, City and Country Group Executive Pension Fund, the acting surveyor Ewan Dodds BSc FRICS stated ‘’we are delighted that a high profile national tenant such as Bills Restaurant have opened in Colchester, reinforcing the appeal of the town to major occupiers and we welcome them to the High Street. The successful letting and sale of both the Royal British Legion and Bills investments is an important part for the overall strategy for the site with, the residential redevelopment of Angel’s Courtyard to the rear, being carried out by City & Country, well advanced and with a number of sales already achieved.

DP World Networking Event for Essex Businesses

DP World London Gateway hosted an event in the offices of its 1,000 acre logistics facility to celebrate and launch the completion of a new office development.

Over 50 guests from a wide range of businesses and organisations across Essex attended and were able to view the three berths of the state-of-the-art, semi-automated deep sea container terminal, while also viewing the significant progress in the development of the Logistics Park.


A new off-dock 5 Acre empty container storage yard is to be opened at DP World London Gateway Port.
